The purpose of this study is to analyze the research trend of research data management in the field of medical sciences. This is an applied research that has been conducted with a scientometric approach. The statistical population of this study includes all research conducted in research data management in the field of medical sciences that have been indexed in the Clarivate Analytics and Scopus databases during the period (1990 to 2023). After removing duplicate research in both databases , 13,978 studies were used for analysis. Also, the data collection tool in this study was note-taking, and the data analysis tool was Santovipay, Excel, and Python software. The findings show that the number of articles in Clarivate Analytics and Scopus has grown significantly over the period (1990 to 2023), and the average growth in article production in each period from the previous period also shows that each period has experienced about 60% growth in scientific production in this field compared to the previous period, and no negative growth is observed in any period. The United States of America, the United Kingdom, and Germany have ranked first to third in scientific production of research data management in the field of medicine, with Italy, France, and Canada also being the following countries in this field. Meanwhile, Iran has ranked 17th, and China's position has also improved greatly since 2020. Also , the keyword data management has always been the most frequent word among the words, and in recent years, keywords related to artificial intelligence have grown greatly in this field. As technologies develop, new topics have entered the aforementioned field of study, for example, in recent years, open science and blockchain have also been widely used terms in the field of medical research data management. This study showed that with the rapid growth of digital technologies and the increasing complexity of medical data, the need for more advanced systems for storing, analyzing, and exchanging data is felt more than ever. Future research should address the development of artificial intelligence-based technologies for data analysis, as well as the global standardization of data management processes.
