The blended learning approach, by combining the capabilities of the electronic environment and the face-to-face teaching-learning process, has significant benefits for educational systems and has attracted the attention of researchers over the past two decades. In this regard, scientometric research, citing reliable databases, helps to identify the structure of knowledge, institutions, and processes of science production. Therefore, the aim of the present study is to draw and analyze the conceptual network of scientific productions in the field of blended learning in the Web of Science citation database in order to provide a clear picture of the state of research and to help scientific decision-making and policy-making in this field. The research method is of an applied type and has a scientometric analysis approach, which uses the techniques of synonymy and clustering analysis to interpret the structure of the conceptual network of articles in this field. The statistical population of the study includes all research and review articles indexed in the Web of Science database between 2003 and 2024 in the field of blended learning, which were extracted and analyzed without sampling and as a document census. Data analysis was performed using RawrPrimap, SPSS, and VossWeaver software. The research findings showed that the overall trend in the publication of blended learning articles was upward and positive, and has had a decreasing trend in the last two years. The highest number of publications with 810 records was in 2022, with a 17% publication share. The keywords blended learning with 2645 repetitions, e-learning network, online learning, and education also had the highest frequency with frequencies of 479, 368, and 209. The lexical pair blended learning-e-learning with 304 repetitions had the highest frequency of co-occurrence in studies in this field. The journal Education and Information Technologies, with 119 articles, and the journals BMC Medical Education and Education Sciences, with 110 and 97 articles, respectively, contributed the most to the publication of research in this field. The result of hierarchical clustering through drawing a dendrogram diagram using the Ward method led to the formation of 10 thematic clusters in the field of blended learning, including e-learning and educational technologies; online education and learning management systems; virtual and in-person learning and teaching models; active student learning in open education; artificial intelligence and information technology in the restructuring of teaching methods; motivation, self-regulation and the effectiveness of blended learning models in academic success; interactive learning with transformative technologies; technology acceptance models and virtual learning environments in higher education; teaching and learning strategies in interactive and media environments; blended, virtual learning environments and digital competence. A review of the trend in the publication of scientific products indicates a significant growth in the documents in this field in the last decade. The content of the vocabulary also showed that the extensive interaction of the field of blended learning in teaching and learning, especially distance or electronic education, is significant, which can be attributed to the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic and the shift of most teaching-learning systems to blended learning. Finally, based on the results of the thesaurus map structure, it is suggested that future research should focus on the integration of emerging and digital technologies and quality assurance in blended learning environments.
