Purpose: The purpose of the current research is to analyze the bibliometric analysis of sports entrepreneurship studies based on the articles indexed in the web-science database during the years (1986-2023).
Method: In terms of type, the current research is among applied researches in which scientific techniques and indicators are used. The statistical population of this research includes all the articles indexed in the web-science database in the field of sports entrepreneurship. Using the keyword (entrepreneur* and sport*) (title) and without time limit, scientific documents were extracted from Web of Science registered until June 2, 2023. A total of 193 documents were identified and saved. For performance analysis, the data was transferred to HistCite software to find the most effective mediums of publishing scientific documents based on the indicators of total number of records, total number of world citations (TGCS), total number of local citations (TLCS), global citation score (GCS) and citation score. local (LCS) to be determined. In addition, in order to show and draw a scientific map, VOSviewer software was used.
Findings: The findings showed that the field of sports entrepreneurship has attracted the attention of many researchers in recent years. In addition, the results indicate that articles were published by 353 authors in 110 journals in 10 languages and from 47 countries. Meanwhile, the most effective emission mediators were identified based on TGCS and GCS index. The beginning of more serious attention to the issue of sports entrepreneurship goes back to 2010 with the registration of 4 documents, and its jumping point is in 2017 with 21 articles and 121 citations. Using co-occurrence indices of words and bibliographic index, clusters and streams of research were identified. The first cluster is the word entrepreneurship, which is associated with things like sports, education and attitude. The second cluster is associated with the central node of innovation and coexistence of words such as future, business, technology, tourism, social entrepreneurship, Olympic Games, sports policy. The third cluster, the central node of management, consists of the association and connection between the words vision, strategy, football, field and sports entrepreneurship. The fourth cluster is more strongly linked to the central node of performance with the keywords business performance, covid-19, orientation, sports clubs, success, companies, and sports entrepreneurship.
Conclusion: The convergence of various words in drawing the map of science shows the importance and necessity of the knowledge of researchers interested in sports entrepreneurship topics, which can better know the best authors, countries, magazines, authors, articles and researchers in this field and through this To have the possibility of better choosing the desired publication for reading or inserting an article, determining the subject area or more effective scientific cooperation with other experts.
