Purpose: The purpose of the present study was to investigate the promotion of university faculty members.
Method: The issue of promoting university faculty members has been investigated and analyzed using a social and human approach, along with the method of scientific analysis. One of the key characteristics of the scientific analysis method, in addition to its interdisciplinary nature, is its methodical and systematic approach, emphasizing comprehensiveness, modernity, and depth in analyzing issues, phenomena, and events. These characteristics are typically utilized, sometimes unconsciously, in most methodical research. The distinction lies in the knowledge-cognitive analysis method, where they are consciously, methodically, and systematically applied to describe the coordinates of each of these three features.
Findings: In this article, besides addressing the promotion issue and outlining certain aspects of the scientific analysis method, the dimensions of promotion are explored in terms of three key characteristics: comprehensiveness, modernity, and depth. The importance of establishing and enhancing the conceptual framework of promotion is underscored. Furthermore, the implications and practical uses of this conceptual framework in analyzing and categorizing issues related to the promotion of professors in universities, as well as strategies for addressing contradictions and conflicts, are elucidated.
Conclusion: Here, only relatively limited cases of the coordinates of the scientific analysis method and what could be analyzed under the three characteristics of comprehensiveness, modernity, and depth have been pointed out. It has been shown how it can be done within the framework of this approach. This type of analysis achieved a new formulation of promotion and designed, created, and developed system whose managerial and technological consequences are effective and pioneering for all stakeholders in all components and dimensions of the promotion process.
