In the digital age, cyberspace has become a crucial arena for the formation, contestation, and dissemination of socio-political discourses. In Iran, this space has likewise emerged as one of the most significant fields for the production and reproduction of social, religious, and ethnic discourses. Mohammad Mamouk Kurdistani was a writer, researcher, literary figure, poet, philosopher, politician, Friday prayer leader, and Grand Mufti of the Sunni community in Iranian Kurdistan during the Qajar and Pahlavi eras. This article aims to analyze the structure and dynamics of web-based discourse surrounding the religious-political figure of Mamouk Kurdistani within minority contexts.
Methodology: The present study is applied in terms of its objective. It was conducted using a scientometric approach and the co-word analysis method. Research data were systematically collected from online sources related to Mardukh Kurdistani, including news articles, scholarly and popular scientific publications, electronic books, research documents, government reports, databases, websites and blogs, social media platforms, discussion forums, Q&A pages, wikis, news headlines, and user comments, with no time restrictions. Data were drawn from 325 textual documents and analyzed using VOSviewer, UCINET, and MAXQDA software.
Findings: The principal quantitative findings indicate that 1,440 concepts were extracted from the analyzed texts, with a frequency distribution following a positive skewness pattern. Cluster analysis organized these concepts into 21 distinct thematic clusters, the largest of which (containing 20 concepts) centered on "critical historiography and rational thought." The concepts of "cultural heritage" (weight: 56) and "ignorance" (weight: 52) were identified as the most influential positive and negative concepts, respectively. Network analysis further confirmed the existence of a cohesive and intertwined structure, evidenced by a high clustering coefficient (1.50) and a complete combinatorial confrontation (1). Additionally, the textual and documentary corpus on Mardukh Kurdistani in web space was categorized into nine dimensions: (1) scientific, intellectual, and philosophical; (2) social, cultural, and identity-related; (3) historical, regional, and Kurdish studies; (4) critical, reformist, and intellectual; (5) literary and linguistic; (6) organizational, institutional, and collective; (7) religious, authoritative, and leadership-related; (8) personal, biographical, and genealogical; (9) economic, tourism, and developmental. Among these, the "scientific, intellectual, and philosophical dimension" emerged as the most central aspect, accounting for 17.6% of the total.
Conclusion: The overall findings confirm the existence of an integrated, multi-layered intellectual system in which religious rationality, Kurdish identity, social critique, and reformist action are deeply intertwined. While addressing a gap in quantitative studies, these results also reveal that despite the richness of web-based discourse, Mardukh Kurdistani remains underrepresented in systematic academic research
